Thrive Missions Igniting Cambridge Hearts Unto God

Just two months after launching, Rise Cambridge, the weekly prayer and worship gathering hosted by Thrive Missions has quickly become a place where believers from across Cambridgeshire come to seek God together.

Held every Friday evening at The Unity Center in Northstowe, the non-denominational fellowship has seen remarkable growth, attracting worshippers from Northstowe, Swavesey, Longstanton, Cambourne, and many other communities across Cambridgeshire. What began as a simple one-hour gathering centred on the theme "Worship. Pray. Connect." is becoming a vibrant expression of Christian unity and spiritual renewal.

For many attendees, Rise has become more than just another worship meeting, it is a place to encounter God's presence, be refreshed, and connect with believers from different church traditions who share the same desire to know Christ more deeply.

"I love the atmosphere here. I believe God is doing something special in this place," said Tony, one of the regular attendees.

Grace, who travels each week to attend the fellowship, shared how the gathering has transformed her Fridays.

"This is now the place where I get refreshed every Friday after a tiring week. I haven't had the opportunity to pray like this in a very long time."

The growing diversity of those attending has been one of the fellowship's greatest joys. Believers from different denominations, cultures, and backgrounds worship side by side with one purpose, to lift up the name of Jesus.

Many participants have expressed a shared sense that God is doing something that reaches beyond individual churches, drawing His people together in unity, prayer, and expectation.

Robert Musimbago, Pastoral Lead at Thrive Missions, reflected on what is unfolding.

"It is beautiful to see people from different church backgrounds coming together in unity to lift up Jesus. We believe God is doing something greater than any one congregation, and we are trusting Him to move powerfully in our generation. Our desire is simply to create a space where people can seek God wholeheartedly and encounter His presence."
